Riding The Credit Crunchie!

Today I dabbled for the very first time in the stock market and bought my first shares! The financial situation we are currently in has been incredibly interesting and I couldn't resist taking part. I bought 108 shares in Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) which owns Natwest. I bought twice: once at 100 on the nose and then secondly at 87.70 which is the lowest the prices have been for some very long time!

I haven't invested much in these shares so I am not too concerned if things go wrong - I just wanted to take part in all the current financial chaos! At close of trading today, I had made a bit of a loss oops (that is all down to the shares I bought at 100 - if it wasn't for them I'd have been in profit as the price closed at just over 90)! Oh well it is all fun! Let's see what tomorrow holds....

I am hoping that from now on the share price of RBS is going to resemble an umbrella in a chimney: that they can go up when they are down but not down when they are up! Until tomorrow then...!
